About

Calcutta was the capital of British India up until 1911, therefore it still boasts of some of the most important political institutions and financial establishments constructed in a distinctive colonial architectural style. The walk begins from the Tea Board and takes you through the lanes of BBD Bagh, which encompasses the Lal Dighi, to Writers' Building, known for its rich political history and stunning architecture and design, the General Post Office and the St. Andrews Church to name a few.

• No parking facilities available outside the meeting point. We would recommend you to take the public transport (Metro, bus, etc.).
• No entry fee.
• Photography allowed everywhere except inside St. Andrew's Church. 
• Wear comfortable cotton clothes, walking shoes and carry a bottle of water and a hat (optional).
